Aladdin

Aladdin is the manufacturer of the Hasps we use. Their web site is at www.eAladdin.com. End users can download software updates from this site at http://www.ealaddin.com/support/default.asp?selectproduct=ha&cf=tl The latest version as at 23/04/2003 is 4.85 for the device driver and 8.09 for the licence manager. The downloads are setup programs which will install the appropriate software for you.

Too many users

There will be a red Nethasp icon in the system tray on the machine which carries the licence manager. If you find that you have unexpectedly run out of licences, first check the quota is not already in use using HaspMonitor. If the user list is full but people have stopped using Archie, it may be that the License manager has failed to register the logout. It will then be necessary to restart the license manager. First, right click on the icon and a pop up menu will offer Exit Once the LM has shut down, which might take a few minutes, you can restart it and the log will be empty. PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS WHITHOUT INFORMING USERS who are using the program.
